Album
Two Rooms: Celebrating the Songs of Elton John & Bernie Taupin is a 1991 tribute album consisting of interpretations of sixteen songs written by Elton John and Bernie Taupin. The title refers to a song on John's album 21 at 33, Two Rooms at the End of the World, and to the duo's unusual collaborative style it is also the title of a 1991 film documenting their collaboration. Some of them were chosen for this collection. Tina Turner, for example, tackles the ludicrously juvenile The Bitch Is Back and somehow manages to make it even worse. Daryl Hall and John Oates don't fare any better with the embarrassingly outdated disco anthem Philadelphia Freedom. All ads added by right-owners. I don't have any profit. Use your brain. Then along came life and things went a bit crazy for a while and we sort of lost the cassette. Elton is a God in the UK music collaborations with Taupin legendary and this is a collection of cover versions a little safe in places but still a good addition to any music collection where Elton's music is a part of.
