Speaking with us from a hotel room in Germany following a performance with his acid-folk group Quilt, John opened up about the desire to revisit his own songs and the difficulties involved in doing so. Exhausted, it being his fourth trip overseas since the release of Held In Splendor, you’ll hear him weigh in on the effects of the nomad lifestyle and how establishing a home base in Lancaster, PA last August afforded him the much needed space and rest to begin working on material left untouched for years.
