The Storm - World Of Twist. Лента с персональными рекомендациями и музыкальными новинками, радио, подборки на любой вкус, удобное управление своей коллекцией. World of Twist were an English indie pop band, formed in Sheffield in 1985. The original line-up of the band consisted of James Fry vocals, Andrew Hobson bass guitar, Gordon King guitar, Tony Ogden drums, Rory Conolly saxophone, Nick Phillips organ and Andy Robbins synthesiser. This version soon disintegrated, and some years later a new line-up emerged, this time based in Manchester. Listen free to World of Twist The Storm-Ep. They released a few singles and one album before disbanding, taking on a somewhat mythical character as a result. For anyone living in Manchester during the early 90's and not totally convinced by the Madchester scene - preferring music with a little more glamour and a little less predictability - World Of Twist along with Intastella were the ones worth paying attention to. Although difficult to musically read more. The Storm 1990. Album by World of Twist. The Storm 12 Version. Amen, Brother by The Winstons 1969. World Of Twist performing 'The Storm' live on The Word. The Storm' was the band's debut single, released on the Circa label in November 1990. The track also featured on their debut album 'Quality Street', released on the same label in 1991. By the time World of Twist released their first and only album, Quality Street, in 1991, the band's moment had already passed. The buzz from their early singles The Storm and Sons of the Stage had become an inaudible hum, the band themselves had begun to splinter, and the U. scene had decided that a group reliving the best moments of Roxy Music, then twisting them into something bright and danceable, wasn't exactly the thing they wanted just then. Pulp was certainly listening though, and they reaped the rewards when the public decided they did want somethin. This song is by World of Twist and appears on the album Quality Street 1991. I'm a storm, babyI'm a stormI'm not warmI'm not warm. Come on girlCome on girlCome on girl keep me warm from the storm. I've tried a thousand timesTo make the sun shine in my mindBut the mind will not be warmedI can't release it from the storm. Come on trainCome on trainCome on train take the pain down the line
