On January 26th 2004, in a simultaneous live satellite transmission from a studio in Los Angeles, across multiple time zones, to cinemas throughout the United States of America, a 75 minute version of the film Yesspeak was premiered.

Following this live broadcast, the fans in the cinemas were treated to an exclusive, one time only, live performance from Yes. For the first time, the Yes classic line up of Jon Anderson, Steve Howe, Chris Squire, Alan White and Rick Wakeman, performed 'live and unplugged'. This is the recording of that digital transmission...Yes Acoustic.

Yes Acoustic: Guaranteed No Hiss is the video release of an acoustic concert by the progressive rock group Yes recorded live on January 26, 2004, and broadcast live to movie theatres around the United States following the première of the documentary Yesspeak. After the film was played in theatres, cameras cut live to a small studio in California with an audience of about 100 people, where Yes performed the first complete acoustic concert of their career. Yes Acoustic: Guaranteed No Hiss is one of the more satisfying of the Yes DVDs to appear since the advent of the digital video format - preserved from a live satellite transmission from Los Angeles on January 26, 2004, the performance is, in a word, exquisite. Some of the group's more serious fans may not appreciate the lightheartedness of Tiger Rag, the opening number - until, that is, Steve Howe and Jon Anderson begin trading rockabilly licks and Rick Wakeman throws in some rippling piano. It was released on 22 September 1978 on Atlantic Records, is their last album with singer Jon Anderson and keyboardist Rick Wakeman before their departure from the group in 1980. After touring in support of their previous album, Going for the One, the band entered rehearsals in London to record a follow-up album. Several factors hindered its potential including group disagreements over its overall direction, the decision not to use an external producer, its uneven quality the album received a mixed response from critics.
