Burkhard Glaetzner born 29 May 1943 is a German oboe virtuoso und conductor. He is one of the leading oboe players in Germany. Glaetzner was born in Poznań. His grandfather was the Goethe researcher Hermann August Korff, who last taught in Leipzig. In 1944 the family moved to FalkenhainSaxony and in 1950 to Leipzig. In 1953 he received his first recorder lessons two years later followed his first public appearance.
