Hybris Swedish: hybris - hubris is the first studio album by Swedish progressive rock group Änglagård. Released in late 1992, it would become one of the most influential albums of the new wave of progressive rock in the '90s. It begins with Jordrök which means earth-smoke, the only fully instrumental piece on the album. The music is quite similar to 1970s progressive rock groups such as Yes, Cathedral and King Crimson, but Änglagård has also succeeded in creating their own style, much thanks. Maybe one of the few albums that everybody loves, and it's not merely coincidental. After the decadence of the great bands in '80s, and the poor approach to the original style from neo-prog bands, Änglagård arose like the true response for all those who considered prog music dead and buried. Hybris is a music studio album recording by NGLAGRD Symphonic ProgProgressive Rock released in 1992 on cd, lp, vinyl andor cassette. Essential: a masterpiece of progressive rock music54. Anglagard's haunting style is fully developed right off the bat with this first album. While all of the musicians are technically skilled, the songs are dramas written for their own sake, not for solos. Few of the melodies are memorable, but only due to their quantity and complexity. Hybris is a tense exercise of minor-chord compositions, and is more aggressive and condensed than their second album, Epilog, which has a richer feel.
