Recorded live at the Jacquemyn. is not only a great double bass player but also a sculptor, graphic and performer. He belongs to the most creative artists on Belgium improvised music scene. Lê Quan Ninh. born in Paris a drummer active from early 80s. He has cooperated with Peter Kowald from 1987 in Global Village project recurrent meetings of improvisers from different cultural traditions, such as: Sainkho Namtchylak, Zeena Parkins, Leo Smith, India Cooke, Xu Feng Xia, Lawrence Butch Morris. His main instrument is guitar, and he also plays bass guitar and guitar synthesizer. He has released albums as a leader and as a sideman. His 1996 album Tales from Viêt-Nam blends jazz and traditional Vietnamese music.
