First issue of Australian WRC reel featuring unique sleeve art. Issued in black plastic box with clear plastic lid. Offered in two speeds, 3¾ and 7½ inches per second - the packaging is identical, except for a small sticker, one on the box and one on the reel, with the individual catalogue number and speed (although these tend to drop off with age): "A" for 7½ inches per second, "B" for 3¾ inches per second. The 3¾ version has a smaller reel, with a cardboard insert in the box for it to fit into.

Ludwig van Beethoven composed his Violin Concerto in D major, Op. 61, in 1806. Its first performance by Franz Clement was unsuccessful and for some decades the work languished in obscurity, until revived in 1844 by Joseph Joachim. Since then it has become one of the best-known violin concertos. Beethoven had previously written a number of pieces for violin and orchestra. At some point in 17902, before his musical maturity, he began a Violin Concerto in C, of which only a fragment of the first.
