Butthole SurfersLive PCPPEP is the third compilation album by American punk band Butthole Surfers, released in January 2003. All songs were written by Butthole Surfers. This compilation contains the entirety of the band's first studio EP, Butthole Surfers, and its first live EP, Live PCPPEP, neither of which had previously been available in CD format. The line, together with the caustic, hellacious instrumentation of The Shah Sleeps in Lee Harvey's Grave, accurately sums up the band's bizarre, hilarious, and ultimately intellectual shlock-core. And since the Buttholes launched their 20-year voyage down the crazy river with these EPs, they're essential listening for fans. Live PCPPEP is the first live album by the Butthole Surfers. It was released entirely due to financial concerns the master tapes for their next two albums, Psychic Powerless Another Mans Sac and Rembrandt Pussyhorse had been seized by the owner of the studio they were recorded in, Bob O'Neill. The Surfers' label, Alternative Tentacles, had promised to pay O'Neill for the Surfers' studio time, but the money never materialized.
