Cherish The Light Years - Cold Cave. Лента с персональными рекомендациями и музыкальными новинками, радио, подборки на любой вкус, удобное управление своей. Cherish the Light Years is the second studio album from the American band Cold Cave, released in April 2011 on Matador Records. Cherish the Light Years was released on April 5, 2011. The album was released by Matador Records on 12 vinyl, CD, and Digital formats. Cold Cave continue to tap into the emotional space of 1980s new wave as they fully transform themselves into a big, bold, goth-pop group. That feeling continues on Cherish the Light Years, but here everything has been blown up to a degree that borders on absurdity. From opening cut The Great Pan Is Dead, Cherish feels like a John Hughes film projected in an IMAX theater- guitars wail, synths scream, and the whole thing is loud, loud, loud. And Eisold responds in kind, his voice rippling with a new desperation- he'll come running as stars explode, hearts break, and we all yearn for salvation. Cherish the Light Years. 9 tracks 40:35. Cold Cave - The Great Pan Is Dead. Cold Cave - Pacing Around The Church. Cold Cave - Confetti. Cold Cave - Underworld USA. Cold Cave - Icons Of Summer. Cold Cave - Alchemy Around You. Hes Honor Roll material, clearly driven with a passion that makes one wonder if Eisold is actually Madchester scene co-founderimpresario Tony Wilson incarnate. Cherish the Light Years is even bolder than 2009s Love Comes Close in reclaiming and reshaping the adolescent angst-wrought sounds of that era. Critic Score. User Score. Cherish has the feel of a breakthrough, and Wes Eisold comes across as an artist with a vision that will resonate with a larger audience. Full Review. Best of 2011. Worst of 2011. Suggest Blurb. Cherish The Light Years. LP 12 album, 33 rpm. Cold Cave Format: Vinyl. Recorded with Chris Coady, Cold Cave's second album is a tour-de-force of pounding synths and soaring romantic melody. It manages to unite Power, Corruption and Lies-era New Order, late '70s Scott Walker, and the dark stadium pop of mid-period Depeche Mode, with the sensibilities of artists like LCD Soundsystem and The National. Drawing from all these influences, bandleader Wesley Eisold crafted a tightly wrought, ambitious love letter to New York City. Cherish The Light Years its been those albums that made me believe in nowadays music again. Its Cold Cave flag album. If you want to listen to good, well made, well produced new wave electro music, I sincerely recommend this. A trip to cold and cool unknown feelings that had been inside you all of this time
