In 1955 Sinatra was well and truly back on top after some years in the wilderness. He was in the midst of his classic album collaborations with Nelson Riddle and his Hollywood career was also in the ascendant. Two years earlier he had won his Academy Award for “From Here To Eternity” and 1955 was the year of “The Man With The Golden Arm”. This concert therefore finds him at the peak of his vocal power in front of an enthusiastic audience. Features many of Frank’s most popular numbers.

These tapes were recorded by Max Hull, Venue Audio Engineer, at Festival Hall Melbourne during the two stops on Sinatra's brief Australian tour of 1959, during which he was backed by the quintet of jazz vibraphonist Red Norvo.
