Текст песни: Autumn in New York Why does it seem so inviting Autumn in New York It spells the thrill of : New York is a 2009 box set album of live performances by the American singer Frank Sinatra, recorded in New York City. New York, both at the Carnegie Hall, and at Madison Square Garden. The first disc captures two live performances from 1955 and 1963, disc two and three are from the Carnegie Hall and from Madison Square Garden in 1974. The final two discs are from the 1980s, with disc five a previously unreleased DVD of a June 25, 1980 performance at the Carnegie Hall. It contains 61 never-before-issued performances of the singer in concert appearances in New York from the mid-'50s through to 1990. It also includes a DVD of a performance at Carnegie Hall, taped in 1980 with 16 more performances, for a total of 77 tracks. Disc one features radio broadcasts. New York, New York quickly became one of Sinatra's signature songs. While many songs have been written about New York City, no song has captured the pride and elegance of the city quite like this one. The lyrics, If I can make it there, I'll make it anywhere sum up what many New Yorkers feel about their city: competition is intense, but success there is richly rewarded and very satisfying. In 1993, Sinatra recorded this with Tony Bennett for Sinatra's album Duets. In 2006, Michael Bolton covered this for his tribute album Bolton Swings Sinatra. Sinatra's version was nominated for a Grammy Award for Record Of The Year. It lost to Sailing by Christopher Cross.
