Suite, for violin and orchestra, RT vii1. Andante quasi allegretto. Frederick Delius Composer, Vernon Handley Conductor, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra Orchestra, Ralph Holmes Performer & 1 more Format: Audio CD. Both the complements were premiere recordings by Holmes: the Suite is an early piece, written in 1888 and showing the influence of Grieg, and it was not performed until nearly a century later, precisely by Ralph Holmes, only a month before this recording was made. Légende is from 1985 and was long known only in its version for violin and piano, due to the loss of the orchestral parts.
