Influenced mainly, though not exclusively, by classical and electronic minimalism, Murcof works with orchestral samples, microscopically detailed textures, sounds and rhythms. His first album started with an M, all the songs did, except the last one, which started with a U. then came the U album. After that the R album also, all titles starting with an R, last one with a C then came the C album, last song started with an O. Murcof was founded in early 2001 as a solo project of Fernando Corona in Tijuana, México. Murcof experiments with minimalistic electronic and classical music, exploring how digital precision and acoustic warmth can complement each other. The music is intended to reflect a digitalized way of interacting with the world, with each other and ourselves.
