Album
One is the ninth full-length album by Vancouver punk rock band Nomeansno. Released in 2000, it was their penultimate album and last of eight albums issued through the Alternative Tentacles imprint. Its long, ponderous songs generally pleased critics and longtime fans, with All Music critic Tom Schulte assessing the album's intense and heavy collegiate punk as one of the band's finest efforts since their seminal 1989 album Wrong. It features a cover of the Ramones song Beat on the Brat and a. Songs in album NoMeansNo - 02 1 1991. NoMeansNo - Now. NoMeansNo - The Fall. NoMeansNo - 02 1. NoMeansNo - The Valley Of The Blind. Had bought this on CD when it first came out, wasn't terribly impressed at the time, but since the price was right and I got my turntable operational again I thought I'd take a stab at the vinyl. Glad I did. The guy at the merchandise table assured me that it was 180gram. 0 2 1 is among their most far-out records. The songs here are incredibly long and somewhat repetitive. They don't necessarily need to be as long as they are, but this is the band's style, and listeners will either dig it or not be able to stand it. Nomeansno counts many musicians among their fans, and plenty of punks. The opening song Now has a fine acoustic guitar riff, and The Valley of the Blind is maybe the punkest song on the record, and also a winner. Released November 4, 1991. 0 2 1 Tracklist. Now Lyrics.
