'These are not rock songs. I play electric guitar, banjo and a DX drum machine. They are somewhat drone, a soundtrack for inner debates, or calming incidental music. This is unlike most of the music that you may have heard me play in bands: Swans, Heroine Sheiks, Five Dollar Priest, Foetus, Sugartime or the live bands with Algis Kizys.

I recorded these four pieces in 2006 and 2009 at home using a Porta 1 tape recorder. Mix down was done in Sound Forge, 16bit, 44.1 Stereo Wave. I used 2 amps through a stereo delay, with several effects in line. One track on the Porta 1 for each amp, home made microphones on each (thanks, Adam). Recorded one pass onto two tracks, then went back and recorded two more tracks with another instrument or feel. Plough 1 and 4 have guitar on both passes. Plough 2 has a DX drum machine as the second pass. Plough 3 is Banjo and fretless Flying V.

Plough 3 was used by Gabriella Barnstone's dance/theater group, El Gato Teatro, in their 2008 production of 'Heistman' at The Ohio Theater in NYC.

Each cd comes in a plastic sleeve with a printed insert, I will sign and date each insert.

Norman Westberg is a guitarist from Detroit best known for his work with Swans. Present through almost the entirety of the band's existence, Westberg was brought on for Swans' debut album Filth 1983 and appeared on every album through 1991's White Light from the Mouth of Infinity he also played on the 1995 album The Great Annihilator.
