This release presents the complete original trio alburn Red Norvo with Strings (Fantasy LP3-218, tracks 1-10), which appears here for the first time ever on CD. It features Norvo on vibes along with guitarist Tal Farlow and bassist Red Mitchell. Four more tunes recorded during the sessions and not included on the LP have been added as a bonus, as well as three 1952 tracks which complete all of the existing recordings by this formation of the Red Norvo Trio.
