Even though it did not resonate with me directly at first I was a teenager when I first saw it on VHS in 1997 or 1998, Love Jones the movie and the lesson became more and more relevant. The pride that embodied the characters is quite reflective in the musical choices. I just wish that the soundtrack was a full collection of the entire score of the movie in chronological order like what was done for the movie Heat.
